Both options work. Most clients purchase their own paper from brands they love, and we handle the measuring so you order the right number of rolls. If you prefer, we can source residential papers, grasscloth, and commercial Type II vinyl through our trade accounts, often below retail pricing.
A single accent wall usually takes 3 to 5 hours. A full room of 300 to 400 square feet is typically a one-day job. Whole-home projects run 2 to 4 days, and large commercial installations are scheduled in phases so your business keeps operating.
Most single accent walls fall between $450 and $900 in labor. Full rooms typically run $900 to $2,500 depending on wall prep, pattern complexity, and material — grasscloth and murals take longer than a straight-match vinyl. Every quote is free, written, and itemized, with no obligation.
Yes. Collins Wallpaper Masters is fully licensed, bonded, and insured for both residential and commercial work in Texas. For commercial projects we provide a certificate of insurance, W-9, and lien waivers as part of our standard general-contractor document package.
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. We steam-strip the old paper, wash off residual adhesive, skim-coat any damaged areas, and prime with a wallcovering-specific primer. Installing over old paper traps moisture — a real problem in Houston humidity — and voids most manufacturer warranties.
All of them: traditional pasted papers, non-woven and paste-the-wall products, peel-and-stick, natural grasscloth and silk, textured vinyl, digitally printed murals, and commercial Type II 20-oz vinyl wallcovering. Each material gets the adhesive and prep method its manufacturer specifies.
It can be — on the right wall. Peel-and-stick needs a smooth, sealed, fully cured surface or it lifts at the corners within weeks, especially in Houston humidity. We prep and prime the wall first, which is the difference between a two-year install and a two-month one.
Yes. Wall prep is included in every quote: filling nail holes, skim-coating rough drywall or plaster, sanding, and priming with a wallcovering-specific primer. Paper magnifies flaws that paint hides, so we never hang over a wall that isn't ready.
Just clear small and fragile items. We move furniture away from the working walls, cover everything with clean drop cloths, and protect the floors. When we leave, the furniture goes back and the room is vacuumed — same day on most residential jobs.
Residential projects are typically scheduled 1 to 3 weeks out, depending on the season. Commercial work is scheduled around your construction timeline — the earlier we see the drawings, the easier it is to hold your dates. Quotes themselves usually go out within one business day.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed: if a seam lifts or an edge curls because of the installation, we come back and fix it at no charge. Material defects are covered by the manufacturer, and we'll help you document a claim if one ever comes up.
Yes. Beyond Houston proper we regularly work in Bellaire, West University Place, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, and Katy. If you're within about 45 minutes of the Houston Heights, call (979) 800-3118 and we'll almost certainly cover you.
